The Top 3 Rooftop Bars In Singapore
Singapore, the city-state that has become a jewel of enterprise and architecture in Southeast Asia is known for having the best airport in the world, some of the finest dining and hotels in the region. But with such an amazing city to explore, the view from the sky can be breathtaking which makes rooftop bars the ideal place to take in the vibe from above. These three bars provide classic cocktails, aerial views, and amazing sunsets.
The Other Roof, Tanjong Pagar
This is the sister bar to The Other Room which fashions itself as a speakeasy, getting in on the rooftop bar market, The Other Roof aims to provide a locale for those just finishing up work and wanting to catch a happy hour before they head out for the evening. It is definitely one of the bigger bars in the city, with the young business crowd normally in attendance. They have been upping the cocktail game with the creation of Stairway to Heaven which contains the standard rum and pineapple juice but with coriander as an added herb. Sounds a bit strange but when in Singapore!
Mr Stork Rooftop Bar, Rochor
This is the spot for a date night with a special someone or a good friend you are willing to curl up with in one of the many open-air teepees that are speckled amongst the garden that has been created for the bar. This circular bar space offers guests a 360 unimpeded view of Singapore with a look at the entire skyline. The seating is less traditional with the alcoves and teepees for close quarters. Each of the cocktails has been composed with a Singaporean theme or special flavor as the main ingredient. The Ruby is a must try for the citrus lovers.
Smoke and Mirrors, City Hall
With such a great name, one can only imagine the magic that is this bar. It does not offer 360 views of the city but instead a more low key view of Padang and the Bay. They have employed the mixologist Jorge Conde to completely overhaul their cocktail menu which has made it a destination for cocktail lovers from all over the world. Their menu, Illusions of Flavour plays into the theme of the place with cocktails named The Heart of Vincent and The Japanese Gang is Still Alive. Expect to have some very interesting flavor combinations that you can watch be made by a master.
