Get Motivated To Get Fit With These 3 Hacks

There is never a bad time to get motivated to get fit. All it takes is waking up one morning, putting your workout clothes on and heading out the door. You don’t even need to leave your home to get fit since there are workout videos all over YouTube that target your entire body. Finding that motivation can be tough though. Here are three hacks that will get you moving, your heart pumping, and your endorphins rushing.

Set Goals
Just as you set your agenda for work and what you want to achieve that week, your fitness schedule should be no different. Put a calendar up on your wall, mark the days you will workout, what kind of workout, and for how long. Then when that day rolls around, do what you set out to do and check it off once it is complete. Working out is like any task, you need to schedule the time in and make it a priority if you don’t find that you have the motivation to complete it simply through sheer will power.

Start Slow
If you haven’t worked out in a long time then you will not want to jump into an advanced spin class. Not only could you injure yourself but you need to ease your body into exercising again. Choose some gentle exercises to start like yoga, or simply going for a brisk walk around your neighborhood. Once you have mastered simply getting up and moving you can begin to challenge yourself. Maybe you will want to join a gym and have a personal trainer create a workout plan for you or maybe there is a barre class you have been eyeing. All exercise is good exercise, just start slow and increase the duration and intensity as you go.
Purchase Some New Gear
Looking and feeling your best is sometimes great motivators as well. Buy some new running shoes and a stylish workout outfit. You will look great and this will make you want to show off your new outfit when you start exercising in public. Other people may come up to you and ask you where you got it which will only increase your confidence as you start to work out more and more. An added bonus is that workout gear is also super stretchy and thus comfy so you may not want to take it off!
