This food chain made big mistake when they served pregnant lady the wrong drink
Who doesn’t like a bit of fast food once in a while? It tends to be cheap, full of deep-fried deliciousness, and ready to eat within minutes. But that’s not to say that it is on the healthier side of things. However, it is pretty safe to say that most people have decided to grab a quick bite at Taco Bell or McDonald’s when they feel like need some food for the road. However, for one mother this was possibly the worst decision she could have ever made.
Just Your Average Day
Sarah hailed from a smaller city in Alberta called Lethbridge. She was pregnant with her third child which was an exciting time as she already had two young children. It was while she was running errands and dropping her child off at a baseball game that she got the urge for a quick caffeine fix.

She’d been so busy she needed the fuel to continue on with her day. McDonald’s was beckoning her temptingly so she pulled up to the drive through and ordered a latte.
Don’t Get Burned
After paying for her coffee at the drive-thru window she placed her scalding hot coffee in her cup holder and continued on with her day. There was a weird legal case against McDonald’s that crossed her mind involving a Stella Liebeck and some contaminated food. As she thought about the case she immediately dismissed it from her mind.

It was impossible that an established fast food chain like McDonald’s could actually poison people or so she thought. She took that first sip of coffee which would change her life forever and make her rethink eating or drinking anything from McDonald’s ever again.
What’s That Flavor?
After a few minutes, the coffee was finally ready to drink. She had prepared it the way she liked and really needed the caffeine to get her energy up again. As she sipped on the hot beverage she began to notice that there was a bit of an off flavor.
In fact, it wasn’t so much a flavor as more of a feeling, burning to be exact. Now that was odd, she thought, a coffee can burn when hot but it should not if it is cool. This is when some other problems began to occur which were most definitely not supposed to.
Going Numb
Sarah had barely had more than a couple of sips of the coffee yet it was apparent something was not right. Her tongue began to feel very strange, almost like there was an itch she couldn’t quite scratch. That was odd but the itching started to change and all of a sudden she felt like her mouth was on fire.

It was extremely unpleasant and then she realized what must be causing it: the coffee. It was the only thing she had had that was out of the norm but how could a simple latte make her feel so horrible?
