Even chefs are known to cook the same recipe over and over again until it tastes as close to perfect as possible. Yet, even with painstaking effort involved, and the belief that practice makes perfect, sometimes things can go rather wrong…

The Day that Symmetry Died

Pizza is the ideal sharing food. No matter the size of the dish ordered, the circular food is designed to be cut into several even slices so that everybody gets a piece of the pie.

A typical pizza has eight slices, made by six straight cuts from one end to the other. Those who have sliced a whole pizza before know that it isn’t too hard to do, so we cannot fathom how this went so completely wrong.

Just a Little to the Right

Anyone who has played Tetris before knows that the objective is to fit the blocks together as evenly and neatly as possible. We really wish that whoever fitted this light switch had played more Tetris!

If he or she had, they would have realised that the people who tiled the apartment had done so especially to leave space for the switch — and that there is exactly where it should have been placed! Instead, this was the result.

Let’s Hang Somewhere Else

When it comes to decorating a space, the ceiling should not be forgotten. Nothing screams glamour and elegance quite like a chandelier, and that is clearly the look that this restaurant was going for.

Unfortunately for the owners, whoever fitted this dazzling chandelier did not do the best job. The light fixture is several inches off where it should be, and even the diners are bothered by it! At least the ornate ceiling can be seen…
