Melrose Place first graced our TV screens in July of 1992 and ran for a scandal-packed seven seasons. The show enticed viewers around the world with the weekly sleazy shenanigans of some of TV’s most salacious characters. After 25 years, let’s see where the stars find themselves today.

Lisa Rinna Then


Lisa Rinna joined the main cast of Melrose in season 5 and left in season 7. The brunette beauty was well known in the soap opera world. Her Melrose character, Taylor McBride, was as devious as they come, enticing viewers each week awith a newly formed plot to cause some mischief in the Melrose complex. She also played the part of sassy Billie Reed in Days of our Lives and hosted the talk show Soap Talk.

Lisa Rinna Now


Rinna’s up-to-date list of acting achievements include appearances in Veronica Mars, Entourage, Community, and Big Time Rush. Today, the role she is best known for, is playing herself. Rinna has appeared in a host of reality TV shows. She competed in the second season of Dancing with the Stars, placing fourth, and in 2011, she competed in the fourth season of The Celebrity Apprentice, placing 15th. She has also been a member of the main cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills since 2014.

Daphne Zuniga-Then


Zuniga had a pretty good run in the ’80s, appearing in ‘Spaceballs,’ ‘Modern Girls’ and ‘The Sure Thing.’ And who could forget her as Alex P. Keaton’s girlfriend on ‘Family Ties.’ She was most well known for playing the role of Jo Reynolds on Melrose Place, appearing in the first 4 seasons. She comes to the Melrose Place apartment complex from New York City to escape her stormy marriage to Charles Reynolds.

Daphne Zuniga-Now


Zuniga made a fabulous comeback, playing the stony faced and bitchy mother of Brooke Davis; Victoria Davis on the last five seasons of ‘One Tree Hill’ and since then, has kept busy with roles in small films.

Thomas Calabro Then


Thomas Calabro played Dr. Michael Mancini for the entirety of the show’s successful run. Calabro’s character began the show as a loving and monogamous husband but after years of increasing misbehavior, the character ended the show as a notorious on-screen womanizer. Prior to gaining his career-defining role on the Fox drama, his most notable role was on the short-lived TV series ‘Drama Street.’

Thomas Calabro Now


Calabro returned to the Melrose set in 2009 to revive his original character, despite his return the show met an untimely end and was canceled after less than a year on the air. After the yearsCalabro has racked up multiple acting credits, his most recent roles include appearances in episodes of Castle, NCIS, and Glee and the films Locker 13, The Barber, and The Man in 3B.

Andrew Shue Then


Female viewers will most definitely remember Andrew Shue for his role as the studly Billy Campbell. Some readers will be surprised to hear that Shue had an impressive side job; for the duration of his time on the show he also played professional soccer. Unfortunately, his acting credits have dwindled since his popularity in nineties.

Despite his exit from the foray of acting, Shue has been keeping busy. In recent years he has branched into entrepreneurship, with a successful venture into the world of media. He launched the gossip Cafemom in 2006. He also co-founded the charity Do Something, which campaigns to support youth leaders.

Doug Savant Then


Doug Savant played Matt Fielding in Melrose. Fielding was one of the very first openly gay characters to be portrayed on television. Although the network made history with the character, the plot was said to be censored to avoid any on-screen romance that they deemed too explicit. After five seasons on the show, Fielding was eventually killed off in a tragic car crash.

Doug Savant Now


From the set of Melrose place to the picture perfect houses of Wisteria Lane, Savant landed himself a major role in the hit series Desperate Housewives. He played Tom Scavo the loving husband of Lynette, played by the talented Felicity Huffman. Savant went on to marry his Melrose co-star Laura Leighton. The couple has two children together.

Marcia Cross Then


Who could forget Marcia Cross looking ravishing in her scrubs as Dr. Kimberley Shaw? After appearing in numerous episodes, Cross became one of the main cast members and spent five seasons playing the lovely life-saver on the show. Proving that she had brains as well as beauty, Cross returned to school in 1997 to earn her master’s degree in psychology which she later received in 2003.

Marcia Cross Now


Just like her Melrose co-star Doug Savant Cross wound up on Wisteria Lane with a role on Desperate Housewives. From 2004 to 2012 Cross played conservative housewife Bree van der Camp. The role earned her three Golden Globe nominations and one Emmy nomination. She also appeared in the second season of Everwood, and more recently landed herself a recurring role on Quantico as President Claire Haas.

Jack Wagner Then


In the late eighties and early nineties Mr Jack Wagner was a regular face on daytime TV. In addition to his role as the ruthless Dr. Peter Burns on Melrose Place, Wagner had recurring roles on two other popular American soaps. He played Frisco Jones on General Hospital and Nick Marone on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Jack Wagner Now


Since his doctoring days on Melrose Place Wagner has maintained his place in the spotlight. In 2012, he competed on the popular relaity TV show Dancing with the Stars. More recently, he has appeared on Castle, Hot in Cleveland, and Ray Donovan, and he currently plays Bill Avery on When Calls the Heart. Wagner is also considered a successful singer and has released six albums, the most recent being 2014’s On the Porch.

Jack Hanson Then


Grant Show played Melrose’s resident bad boy Jake Hanson for the first five seasons of the show. Hanson added a little ruggedness to the otherwise pristine cast with his leather jacket, blue-collar background and motorcycle. Show’s first major role was on the daytime soap Ryan’s Hope, after paying his dues with a couple episodes of The Love Boat and an ABC After School Special.

The hunky actor ages like a fine wine and TV producers took notice. Show has appeared in numerous television series, had a stint on boradway and also built up a list of credits starring in TV movies. Brooke Langton-Then


Brooke Langton played Samantha Reilly, who moved in as Jane’s roommate, married Billy, and then went on to have a sleazy affair with baseball player Jeff. She began as a guest star in season 4, but was a series regular for seasons 5, 6, and 7, appearing only in the first part of the final season.

Brooke Langton-Now


After Melrose Place, she starred in the short-lived drama The Net from 1998–99, had a recurring role on Friday Night Lights from 2007–08, and appeared on episodes of shows including The Mentalist, Bones, and Supernatural. Her major film credits include 2000’s The Replacements and 2015’s The Debt.

Jamie Luner-Then


Jamie Luner joined the main cast of Melrose Place in its sixth season, and stayed on as Lexi Sterling until the end of the series.

As well as her role as Lexi, she is well known for playing Liza Colby in over 300 episodes of All My Children, from 2009 to the end of the series’ original run in 2011. Rena Sofer-Then


Eve Cleary, played by Rena Sofer, was a recurring character on the show. Eve appeared in Season 7, and was an old friend of Amanda Woodward. During their time in high school, Eve saved Amanda from a sexual assault by pushing her attacker off the bleachers. The boy died soon afterwards. However, as the self-defense story was ultimately dismissed in court, Eve spent nearly two decades in prison.

Rena Sofer-Now


Since the end of the show, actress Rena Sofer has worked steadily in television, cementing herself a strong career, and nabbing guest starring roles on different shows from Just Shoot Me! to Heroes. She most recently appeared on episodes of House and Covert Affairs. Her current role is as Quinn Fuller on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Denise Richards-Then


Brandi Carson, played by Denise Richards, was a recurring character in the fourth season of Melrose Place. Brandi was a contestant in the “Miss Health and Fitness” beauty pageant. Her mother, Teri Carson, schemed to have Brandi declared the winner by seducing the judges. Brandi successfully seduced Michael into a one-night stand.

Denise Richards-Now


Denise has appeared in numerous films,  including Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999), The World Is Not Enough (1999) as Bond girl Christmas Jones, and in Valentine (2001). From 2008 to 2009, she starred on the E! reality show Denise Richards: It’s Complicated. Between 2010 and 2011, she was a series regular on the comedy Blue Mountain State. She is most famous for her tumultuous relationship with actor Charlie Sheen, with whom she has two daughters.

Kelly Rutherford-Then


Kelly played the role of Megan, who met and fell in love with Ryan McBride. At times, however, this relationship was complicated, due to her lingering feelings for Michael. In time, Megan discovered that Ryan had a daughter in boarding school named Sarah, who eventually ran away from the building in search of her father.  Megan later married Ryan after he’d gained custody of Sarah, and the two would raise his daughter together.

Kelly Rutherford famously played the role of Lily van der Woodsen on The CW series Gossip Girl, as Serena’s mother. She was also in the news for the controversy in her private life, surrounding the custody of her twins, in a bitter battle with her ex husband.

Rob played Kyle McBride, who  was a mostly nice guy, but often got wrapped up in the drama that seemed to follow him. He agreed to raise Michael and Jane’s baby as his own, proving that ultimately he was a really nice guy, not to mention very handsome for female viewers.

Rob Estes-Now


 
Rob Estes has worked steadily in TV since the show ended, most memorably appearing on the newly revived 90210 from 2008-2010. He was married to Melrose Place co-star Josie Bissett for 14 years, but the couple divorced in 2006.

Kristin Davis Then


Always up for a little drama, Kristin Davis’s character was introduced to the show in season 3. She played intern Brooke Armstrong who ultimately turned out to be arrogant, entitled with a malevolent streak that had the rest of the characters running. Davis would go on to have roles in many a nineties sitcom, namely Friends, General Hospital, Will and Grace and Seinfield.

Kristin Davis Now


Davis’s star continued to rise. In 1998, Davis would be cast as Charlotte York in Sex and the City. The role would define her career as the sitcom would become a pop culture phenomenon. She would even go on to receive an Emmy nomination for her portrayal of Charlotte in series’s final season. Davis has starred in multiple feature films, worked on broadway and is a proud ambassador for Charity Organisation Oxfam.

Amy Locane Then


Although Amy Locane only appeared in the first season of the show, she was an instant fan favourite. But before being cast as Melrose’s Sandy Harling she starred opposite the future superstar Johnny Depp in in John Waters’s 1990 musical comedy Cry Baby. She also twice played the girlfriend of Brendan Fraser in School Ties and Airheads. Despite a promising start in her early career things would not pan out well for the young actress.

Amy Locane Now


Locane’s life would take a tragic turn in 2010 when she was involved in a fatal car accident. The drunk-driving incident would result in the death of one pedestrian. Official blood tests revealed that Locane’s blood alcohol level was three times the limit for legal impairment. Locane was ultimately sentenced to three years in prison for the crime. She was released in 2015.

Laura Leigthon Then


Laura Leighton took her first major acting role as Sydney Andrews in Melrose. Andrews was one of the series most multi-faceted characters, epitomized by her rash decision and fictional brushes with the law. During her time on the show, Leighton also hosted an episode of Saturday Night Love. Despite her character’s tumultuous love life, Leighton later found marital happiness with her co-star Doug Savant.

Laura Leighton Now


Like a few of her other co-stars at Melrose, Leighton revived the role of Sydney Andrews in the reprisal of the show in 2009. Despite the shows short-lived airing, Leighton’s career did not faulter and she went on to have multiple successful acting gigs. Her most noteworthy post-Melrose role, however, was playing Hanna’s mother Ashley Marin on Pretty Little Liars for the duration of the series.

Josie Bissett Then


Actress Josie Bisset broke on-screen hearts as her character Jane Mancini. With tons of entertaining drama in the mix, audiences watched as Jane’s marriage to Dr. Mancini crumbled. Bisset was first noticed by fans for her recurring role as the character Cara on the then-popular sitcom The Hogan Show.

After the series ended, Bisset found herself a recurring role in The Secret Life of the American Teenager and appeared in the TV movies A Mother’s Instinct, Pregnant at 17 and The Wedding March and its subsequent sequel. Heather Locklear is the indisputable face of Melrose Place. The blue-eyed beauty played Amanda Woodward, the villainous character who would earn her four consecutive Golden Globe nominations. Audiences simply loved to hate the scheming advertising exec who seduced more than a few fellow characters. Locklear also nabbed herself a role in the late nineties sitcom Spin City.

Despite a string of appearances in feature films and on TV Locklear’s years following her stint on Melrose Place were troubled. In 2008 she was pulled over for suspected drinking and driving and has reportedly been admitted to rehab facilities multiple times in order to battle her longtime alcohol and drug addiction. Wea re happy to report that Locklear was last spotted in Hawaii while on vacation with her daughter, Ava. She is said to have looked happy and healthy.

Before turning up in season five, Jennifer had been dating Kyle McBride in college, but the pair called it off when they moved to Los Angeles. Jennifer struggled to get work so ended up taking a position at a male entertainment establishment, but Megan convinced her to quit. Her attention drifts towards Craig, but he ends up taking his own life. Jennifer then settles for Billy Campbell, and the pair run away together in season seven.

Alyssa has had a large number of roles, including Phoebe Halliwell in Charmed, Rebecca Thomas in Romantically Challenged, Savannah Davis in Mistresses, and Renata in Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later. This former Miss America winner has put her pageant days behind her, but has continued her acting career. Recently Vanessa has been in Ugly Betty, as well as playing General Cynthia Rockwell in The Librarians, and Maxine Robinson in Daytime Divas. However, when she isn’t on the small screen, the actress has been up on stage. Vanessa is also heavily involved with organizations aimed at helping vulnerable young men and women, as well as fighting for LGBT rights.
