Since 2007 Keeping up with the Kardashians (KUWTK) has enthralled and entertained viewers from around the world. If you don’t know by now, the show follows the lives of the Kardashian /Jenner Clan as they struggle to juggle their reality stardom and their family lives. The show is known for its drama and intrigue and fans just cannot help but love the show. While the show is centered around the lives of the Kardashian sisters Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe, it seems that this may all change very soon.
The sisters are in the middle of shooting their 18th season and they recently revealed that unlike previous seasons, older sister Kourtney has decided to limit her work on the show. The sisters didn’t want to reveal any spoilers of the upcoming season but it seems that Kourtney may be leaving the show in the 18th season.
The mom of three revealed that she would rather focus on her children and said she “just decided to spend more time as a mom and put more of my energy there”. Kourtney’s three children also featured prominently on the show, with much of the earlier seasons focusing on her eldest son Mason.
Kourtney was recently criticized by fans for her youngest son’s long hair and the backlash and criticism may have influenced her decision to part with the show. The hair drama all started when Kourtney shared pictures of her children on a weekend getaway and many were quick to criticize the mom for not cutting the four-year-olds long hair. Kourtney did her best to defend herself but it seems the damage was already done and many began discussing Kourtney’s parenting style online.
Despite the criticism, being a single mother and raising three small children takes a lot of Kourtney’s attention and she feels she wants to be more present for these important years of her kid’s childhoods. While fans will miss seeing Kourtney and her kids on the show, the sisters explained that they will continue to work together on other projects, so Kourtney isn’t retreating fully from the public eye just yet. While it will be sad to see Kourtney go, we are sure that KUWTK will still have its fair share of drama and fluff.
