Now that baby Archie has entered the picture, the spotlight has been on Prince Harry and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. With her in her late 30s, there has been a lot of talk around just how many children these two are planning to have. Do they want to have three like Prince William and Duchess Kate, or do they want to have six or more like the famed Queen Victoria did? Having a lot of children will mean that Meghan will have to get pregnant again very soon but the royal couple decided to clear things up and let everyone know how many children they will be having.
Recently, Meghan was invited to co-edit the September edition of British Vogue. As someone who used to have her own fashion and lifestyle blog, she was thrilled to be offered the opportunity to edit such an established magazine. The best part was that one of her all-time idols was also going to be featured in it: Doctor Jane Goodall. During her editing, and one of the conversations that Prince Harry had with Goodall the question of their own family came up.
Prince Harry had been discussing family with Goodall and the topic of just how many children is enough was a hot topic. As a conservation activist which Harry is as well, they both understand that the number of resources on the planet are limited and need to be conserved. One of the ways to do this is by promoting family planning activities which Harry finally admitted he and Meghan have done. He announced to the world via this interview that Meghan and he have decided that two is the perfect number. They have a boy, so maybe they will want a girl next?
The Next Baby
Meghan has only just had baby Archie but we imagine another baby may just be on the horizon. It seems like this newly married couple are ready to go full steam ahead with all royal activities and that includes producing heirs. Besides this one mention of family, the Vogue issue will feature profiles on some of the most influential women of today which Meghan was instrumental in selecting. This issue has been carefully curated by her from the subjects to the photographers and we are all eager to see what exactly her vision is.
We are sure she did an excellent job and it will be full of stunning editorials and maybe even a few odes to her American roots.
