A wedding is a special day for everyone involved. It’s a chance for both the bride and groom to stand up in front of their friends and family to officiate their love and devotion to each other. It’s an emotional affair, standing for new happy beginnings and the start of a new happy family. By the time the vows come around, there’s never usually a dry eye in the house.
Some weddings are more emotional than others. Once one person starts bawling, then tears start flowing all around the room. It’s like a domino effect of emotion. However, there’s one particular wedding which tops the list for having one of the most emotional wedding videos of all time.
This is the story of a Portuguese couple whose wedding video went viral when the groom decided to announce his love for another girl in the middle of the ceremony. However, it’s not who you expect it to be. Read on to find out who this mysterious girl might be!
The happy couple
Jessica and Jefferson had been excited for their special day for years. They were completely and utterly head over heels in love, looking forward to spending the rest of their lives with each other. Their wedding was an extravagant affair.

Jessica looked stunning in her beautiful white gown, and Jefferson looked handsome in his suit and tie. Giovana was Jessica’s daughter from a previous relationship, and she was a bridesmaid at their wedding. Jessica’s heart burst with joy as soon as she heard her name come out of his mouth. Tears welled in her eyes.

Jefferson began listing all the things she does that annoy him, and Giovana burst into giggles. She pokes him a lot just to irritate him, and she often steals his food off his plate without him looking. Despite all this, he still loves her.

Jefferson continued by telling her that he vows to love her unconditionally forever like she is his own. He promised her that he will always love her and protect her for as long as she lives.
He also promised her that he will do all that he can to try and make her as happy as she can be.

At this point, the whole room was welling up with tears of joy. It’s not unusual for a wedding to make people cry, but this speech from Jefferson was on another level of emotion.

A new father
Giovana had something to say too. While Jefferson was still kneeling down in front of her, she wanted to let him know how much he means to her too. She took the microphone from him and told him that although she knows that he is not her real biological dad, he is and always will be the “father of her heart.”
