Kate Middleton is one of the Royal family’s most-loved style icons but the gorgeous brunette has not always been on the best dressed lists. We’re taking a look at some of her most surprising style moments…

Back in 2002, long before her days walking red carpets, Kate strutted down the runway at St Andrew’s University fashion show in this daring see-through dress. The fresh faced teen had little idea that this image would one day make the front pages of every UK newspaper.

Who’s That Girl?


In 2005, Kate was slowly becoming known as the gorgeous brunette on Prince William’s arm. Back in those days, the young Brit opted for a more dressed down approach to fashion. Here she is clad in boots and a hat at the Gatcombe Park Festival of British Eventing.

That’s right. The future Duchess of Cambridge once walked the streets of London in a pair of UGG boots. It appears Kate has always had a love for comfort. Here, Prince Will’s girlfriend headed off to run errands in a black blazer, jeans and brown UGG boots.
