Robert Downey Jr. – Charlie Chaplin

Hollywood’s silent film era is basically defined by the existence of Charlie Chaplin. While many people know of his existence, many never knew his real story. Thus, the 1992 film Chaplin was a perfect way of bringing some light to who this icon was.

Robert Downey Jr. was cast to play Chaplin, due to his undeniable talent, but also, his uncanny resemblance to Chaplin. After some makeup and personalized costumes, Robert Downey Jr. was left looking almost like Chaplin. That’s not to mention the way he basically perfected his walk.

Jennifer Lopez – Selena

In one of her most memorable acting performances, Jenniffer Lopez absolutely smashed her role as Selena in the biopic film that shared a bit more about the “Queen of Tejano Music”. It’s been two decades since the world has lost Selena, but her legacy will always be present.

Taron Egerton – Elton John

It’s not an easy thing to attempt to step into Elton John’s shoes. But Taron Egerton was given this difficult task when he was cast to play the music icon in 2019’s Rocketman. Although it’s really rare to see a biopic coming out while the subject of the movie is still alive, there were several benefits to having Elton John’s input.

As intimidating as it looks to take on the role of Marilyn Monroe, Michelle Williams actually did an incredible job of making it look pretty easy. An iconic beauty actress, model, and overall influence in pop culture, Monroe’s life was portrayed in the historical drama My Week With Marilyn of 2011.

Williams was sure to be very meticulous about Monroe’s persona, gestures, and voice, which was paired with her classic blond hair and make up that made her look exactly like Monroe.
