Dubai’s development happened pretty rapidly over the years, thanks to the city’s oil revenue. Although oil spurred the city’s economy, today, its main revenue comes from real estate, aviation, tourism, and financial services.

With this development, many people found themselves becoming million and even billionaires. For some reason, many of them felt like they needed to spice those millions up. And so the trend of owning exotic pets started, making pictures such as this one just another day in Dubai. In Dubai, even the police force ride in style! It might look like a scene straight out of one of the Fast & Furious films, but it’s not. Dubai’s police drive only sports cars to show just how classy Dubai is. No criminal in his right mind will ever again try and outrun the Dubai police.

The police forces fleet of Lambogini patrol cars gained so much popularity that a couple of months later, Ferrari’s and BMWs were added to the fleet. The average police car in Dubai cost around 2 million United Arab Emirates Dirham or about 545,000 American dollars. The police department shared the new addition on Twitter and received tons of enthusiastic likes and comments.

The Gold ATM

This isn’t just an ATM made of gold. Instead of dispensing money, this ATM dolls out ounces of the finest quality gold. The truth is that some people have an outrageous amount of money in Dubai. So, probably a lot of this money is found in the bank, just sitting there waiting for the next outlandish buy, a tiger perhaps?

So, this bank felt that it was time to step up their game, and to make their rich clients feel a little bit more loved and appreciated by the institution. That’s when someone had the brilliant (or not) idea of creating a gold ATM. These ATMs are quite popular with everyone swopping their cash for gold, which they then use to make regular purchases.

A Lion On The Back Seat

Dubai probably embraces excess and extravagance like no other city in the world.
