Make Time for YOU
When you get back from work, turn your phone off, run a bubble bath, read a book and just be with yourself without any distractions. Cook a nice meal using fresh ingredients and when you sit down to eat your meal, don’t watch tv or go on social media. Just really enjoy the taste of the food you just made.
Use your personal time at the weekend to do something creative, start writing, gardening, playing with the kids, playing a musical instrument, painting, sewing. Join a club even. This will help you unwind, destress and allow you to switch off from work emails and stresses of the week. So instead of vegging out in front of the TV, try to get your creative juices flowing and you will start to see the difference in being able to recharge.
If, after a busy day, you find your thoughts are non stop, take a moment, breathe deeply and allow your breath to clean away the stresses and revitalize your mind. Instead of engaging with your thoughts and all the things you need to do or haven’t yet done, just let them float past… Thoughts flow in and out, so just let them wander like a cloud in the sky and bring your body and mind back to the present. Doesn’t have to be long, as little as 5-10 minutes can help increase your memory function and allow you to be more focused. It will be so beneficial we promise.
