It’s not often that you see celebrities repeat outfits on the red carpet.  Cate Blanchett decided to do just that when she walked the red carpet to celebrate the opening of the 71st edition of the Cannes International Film Festival in France. The actress, who is the head of this year’s jury panel, chose to wear the same black lace crinoline Giorgio Armani Privé gown she wore when she won a Golden Globe for her performance in Blue Jasmine in 2014. “Particularly in today’s climate, it seems willful and ridiculous that such garments are not cherished and re-worn for a lifetime.”
