For this mother and daughter, it seems to be eternally young is in their genes.
Meet Joleen
While on paper, Joleen may seem like your average single mom, this lucky 44-year-old actually has an amazing secret.
During the day, she teaches kids at the local elementary school near San Francisco, and in her free time, she loves to spend time with her family and lovable pooch. The thing is when you see Joleen you are in for a bit of a surprise.
Introducing Meilani
Meilani is your average teenager, she loves listening to her favorite music, and when she is not spending time at college, she likes to go out with friends.
Like any 19-year-old, Meilani enjoys music festivals and shopping. She also looks forward to those times when she can explore the outdoors with her mom Joleen.
Growing Up
Joleen had Meilani when she was 24 years old and ever since the two have been inseparable. When Meilani was much younger here, and her mom would compete at the local Hula festival, together and there was never a moment when they were not there for one another.
No matter what, Joleen was always there for Meilani, and she would never miss one of her daughter’s school events. As the years progressed, Meilani grew older, and almost overnight, she had turned into a beautiful young lady. turned into a beautiful young lady.

For a while, Meilani decided to color her hair in a lighter shade. The blond highlights meant that it was easy for others to tell the mother and daughter apart. However, when Meilani grew tired of her lighter locks, she went back to her natural hair color, which just happens to be the same as Joleen’s.
With matching hairstyle and hair color, the two looked practically identical, and often, the two would switch places to confuse their friends and family.

Since everyone began talking about how much the mother and daughter look alike, both Joleen and Meilani’s social media accounts have blossomed.
They now have thousands of followers who draw inspiration from the mother and daughter. In fact, the pair recently started filming segments spreading their message of healthy living.
Joleen’s Beauty Secrets
Now given how great she looks, many people may think Joleen has gone to extreme lengths to look as young as she does. But for Joleen, the answer is simple.
Jolene works hard to take care of her skin and uses sunscreen all the time, even on her hands. This happy mom takes multivitamins and eats healthy, and she has never smoked and doesn’t drink alcohol. These are just the things Joleen has always done, and she attributes her great looks to this healthy living.
Working Out
Naturally, Joleen puts a lot of work in at the gym, and she loves how great she feels after she works out. She also makes
sure to live an active lifestyle, and often mother and daughter will take walks and walk their dogs together.
According to Joleen, working out has not only helped her look younger, but its also been amazing for her confidence.
Like Mother Like Daughter
Although she may be a little more carefree about it, Meilani also likes to keep active, and she too enjoys time at the gym. Since childhood Meilani has enjoyed gymnastics and also loves to dance.
From watching her mother, Meilani has also learned that she needs to take care of her body, so she makes sure to eat right and look after her skin.
Sharing is Caring
This mother-daughter pair don’t just look alike, they also wear the same size clothing.
This makes shopping a breeze, and when they see something, they both like they can always get two of the same item. The ladies love sharing their clothes, but Joleen often gets frustrated when Meilani takes her clothing without asking.
Good Genes
However, we suspect there might be more to it than healthy eating and exercise. Joleen recently shared a pic of herself with her mom, and it seems for a fry 77-year-old; this groovy grandma looks about as old as someone her daughters’ age.
Joleen’s mom also looks absolutely fabulous for her age, and it’s possible that this family just has great genes.
Spending Time Together
While Joleen was once interviewed saying she and her daughter would never go to clubs together and never will, they do spend a lot of time together. The pair enjoy being outdoors, and often they go hiking, traveling, or water skiing together.
One of their favorite activities is posting dance videos online, and now that Meilani is in college, the two spend more and more time working out together. Meilani and Joleen really enjoy singing Kareoke together, and if anything, the fact that they look like sisters has only made them closer.
Best Friends
Joleen and Meilani say they don’t mind being confused for sisters because they really do consider themselves best friends.
