Knowing the difference between right and wrong is something that is usually ingrained into everyone at a young age. As you get older, this can evolve into something new or less black and white. For these people, they seemed to be a bit confused about how certain things work and these hilarious moments were shared with the world.
A Football Foe
Punting is used in very specific sports, usually football and rugby. This person was hanging out at their college when they saw something brown come flying towards them.
Their first reaction was to punt it like a football because they thought that it was one. In reality, it was just a brown pigeon flying towards them. As the poor bird flew at the person, they punted it across the quad and hoped that nobody noticed that they had mistaken a bird for a football.
Dog Confusion
There is a saying that, “All cats look the same in the dark.” This is definitely not true for dogs during the day. This mother seemed to be very confused about her daughter’s dog and thought that it had gone missing.
When the two dogs were compared side by side, it was apparent that not only were they completely different sizes but also breeds and colors. We hope that this dog grandmother was able to see the difference between these two doggies upon closer inspection. We are also happy to see that this dog was definitely not missing but safe and sound at home.
A Helping Hand
Uber is one of those services that has revolutionized transportation. It picks you up, takes you where you need to go, and even offers amenities like bottles of water for those who have late nights out on the town. This one Uber customer got a bit confused when their driver began to text them and began to have a heart to heart with them.
After a bit of back and forth conversation, the person realized that the person they were sharing their personal woes with was not, in fact, a friend, but their Uber driver. Hopefully, this Uber driver decided to give some advice to the person en route.
Watch The Spelling
Spelling is hard. Spell check makes it easy to get the spelling right on documents and autocorrect on smartphones do that job relatively well too. Katie here decided to show off her ice cream and ‘sterobrys’ for the world to see when she posted it on her Facebook account.
This wouldn’t have been a big deal if the spelling for strawberries hadn’t been so atrociously wrong. To make it even worse, the picture of her strawberries is not particularly appetizing. We just hope that somebody decided to give her a spelling lesson because strawberries are one of those words that everyone should know.
Self-Heating
On a cold winter’s day, a hot water bottle is a nice way to get warmed up. You need to turn on the hot water tap or the kettle and make sure the water is scalding before pouring it inside the hot water bottle.
This person was unaware of the fact that the rubber of the hot water bottle does not have a built-in heating mechanism. Someone’s parents clearly forgot to teach them some of the most important parts of hot water bottle usage.
Just Add Milk
For those who lead fast-paced lives, food, and coffee on the go are a lifesaver. This person thought that a cereal bar was like one of those toys that expand when they get wet.
They actually believed that you needed to add milk to a bowl, place the cereal bar in the milk, and then let it expand into cereal. Sadly, what they failed to realize was that a cereal bar is basically just a granola bar. You just need to bite it, not add milk.
Fur Versus Makeup
Cats are rather furry little creatures, and adding paint to fur seems like it would be a bad idea. This bridal makeup artist seemed very confused by the question that a bride asked her.
She assumed that the bride wanted makeup put on a cat, and was game to give it a go. We respect the makeup artist for giving the situation some serious thought, but we feel like most people should know that makeup and cats will never go together.
How many do you need?
You would have thought using a basket in a supermarket was as easy as counting 1, 2, 3 but in this case, this customer couldn’t have gotten it more wrong if she tried. Now, we have all been there.
When the basket gets stuck to the one underneath so it needs a good wiggle to get it out but why didn’t anyone tell this woman how to do it the right way. The store doesn’t look too busy but we’re wondering how long she walked around for like this.
Blinker Fluid
We can all learn to drive fairly easily by hiring a driving instructor but let’s face it, nobody ever really teaches us how to look after and maintain our cars. Often when we are young we will reach out to our older family members for help but what happens when one of them isn’t available and we need to go it alone?
Well, this happens. This customer went into a store with a broken light bulb and ask for blinker fluid to fill it up! How can somebody get something so wrong!
Delivery
People have mixed feelings when it comes to delivery drivers, some do their job really well and others have no shame in showing they really don’t care about people’s belongings. Here, it is clear to see how confused the owner of this delivery was when he ordered it.
We mean, when you order something this big, what sense does it make to add a delivery note that reads, “Please put under doormat”. Top marks for this delivery driver who did it anyway!
Water Damage
Mobile phones today are pretty sturdy but if there is one thing that can break them, it’s water damage. When water leaks into the phone it can quickly ruin all the electrics inside. In general, the first thing to go is the screen and this is when you can clearly tell if there is any water damage or not.
After spilling orange juice on his phone this person thought that the solution would be to run it under water. What was he thinking?
Check Again
Putting gas into your car is pretty much the same wherever you are in the world. Colors of which brand stay the same as well as payment methods, although occasionally there are places around the world where somebody will put the fuel in for you.
Obviously sometimes the pumps can break down and when this happens they are usually covered with a plastic bag to deter customers. This woman didn’t take much notice however and stood still wondering why her car wouldn’t fill up! Funny how she didnt notice a bright yellow bag over the nozzle.
From the Garden
Any good restaurant will use natural spices and herbs in their food, after all, if the food tastes good and is fresh, the customers are going to keep going back for more. After ordering take away from Chipotle, this customer caused a hilarious fuss on social media after finding a leaf in their food.
However it wasn’t just the one person, many people have gone on to complain about finding this particular thing in their food, without releasing it is indeed a bay leaf, added for flavor.
A Fake Plant
Succulents, especially aloe vera plants, are easy to take care of. All you need to do is water them once in a while and let them get a bit of sun. This person thought they were doing everything right for their little plant, but it failed to get any bigger. That was when they decided to touch the plant.
After feeling the succulent, they realized that this was not a real aloe plant, but a plastic one. Maybe they should have checked the label when they bought it.
Flavored Ironing
Flavored water is pretty delicious, but the thing that makes it flavored is sugar. A lot of people don’t realize that the flavor is definitely not natural and should not be used to iron clothes with.
This person thought they would have some fruity smelling clothing if they ironed their clothing with flavored water. Instead, all they got was some burnt sugar, and some rather foul looking clothes after they had been thoroughly burned.
No Sandpaper Please
The internet is full of tips and tricks that can be used in everyday situations. One of these so-called tricks is using sandpaper to get rid of the ice on a windshield.
The sandpaper is attached to the windshield wipers and then used to scrape the ice off. This hack worked, but what it failed to mention was the fact that the sandpaper would scratch all of the glass on the windshield and make it almost impossible to see out of.
A Dog Wearing Sunglasses
Sometimes people find themselves staring at something without realizing what it is. This person thought they had found something truly astonishing; a dog wearing sunglasses sitting on a chair in a fast-food restaurant.
Upon much closer inspection, it became apparent that this was not a dog, but a blonde woman rocking a mullet, and a pair of slick shades. The front of her hair does truly look like a dog’s nose, so we can see where the confusion came in. We’re just glad that they managed to grab a sneaky picture of this moment for the world to see.
Online Shopping Mistakes
Amazon is one of those online marketplaces where you can truly find anything. If you can think of something weird, like pajamas with smiling avocados on them, then you can find it there.
This person decided to order something a little bit more normal. Their cat needed a new cat tree, and they thought that they had found the perfect deal. The only problem was that they neglected to look at the dimensions of the tree. In the words of Derek Zoolander, “Is this a cat tree for ants?”
Overdue Child Support
A lot of police work is looking at old cases to see if people have failed to appear for court cases or pay for their child support. These police officers thought that they were on the path of a dad who had not paid child support in a number of years.
As soon as they arrived at the house to collect the child support, and arrest the dad, they found out that they had neglected to look up one crucial bit of information: whether or not the dad was still alive.
Happy Hour
Happy hour is a fun time, and a lot of offices will go out together after work to enjoy one. For one woman, she heard someone preparing a protein shake and thought that someone had gotten an early start on the happy hour drinks. She definitely did not want to be left out of this.
She enquired about margaritas, only to find out they were definitely not on offer at 10:00 a.m. Janet will just have to wait until happy hour.
Lovely Lettuce
A lot of women and men like to receive flowers. It shows that your significant other or loved one was thinking about you and decided to bring you something special.
Most people have a favorite color or flower that they like to receive. This woman’s boyfriend thought he had brought her a beautiful purple bouquet. Upon closer inspection, it was literally just ahead of purple lettuce. He definitely gets props for trying.
A Wrong Number
In this day and age, it is pretty difficult to get the wrong number. You have to type in the contact information and get one of the numbers wrong. Most people have all of the numbers they need saved to their phones.
This mom thought she had the right one but definitely did not. It sounds like this cul-de-sac party is going to be pretty heated if Brittany, who is presumably Christi’s daughter, does not learn how to play nice with the other kids. When this person received this message, they couldn’t help but share how wrong this mom had got it.
Arachnophobia
Anyone with long hair knows that they need to have a few hair clips lying around. Long hair needs to be braided or put up when it comes time to eat something delicious.
Nobody wants their hair to get in the way of their culinary experience. For this person, she had left a rather scary hair clip lying around. From afar, it does appear to be a spider, which her boyfriend was extremely afraid of. All he had to do was touch it to find out he is safe.
What Grade Is This?
Writing tests in school can be nerve-wracking for a lot of students. They never quite know if they have studied enough. Once they have written the test, they need to wait and see what the results are to know if they have passed.
For this student, they had a lot of trouble reading what their grade was. It looked more like ‘salsa’ than some numbers. After a bit of explanation, it became clear that they had received a perfect score!
A Star Of David
Getting your first tattoo is a big deal. You have to decide where you want it, how big it should be, and the design itself. This person thought that a pentagram would be the perfect tattoo for them.
They even decided to give themselves the tattoo, rather than seeing a professional. That was probably their first mistake. The second mistake did not realize that a pentagram is a star with five points, not six points. A six-point star is a Star of David.
New Eyelashes
Some people like to add a bit of ‘oomph’ to their appearance. One of the ways to make eyes really pop is to use fake eyelashes. You need to be sure you get some that look more on the natural side if you don’t want it to be too noticeable that yours are not real.
This mom thought that she had the perfect eyelashes, but she was having trouble attaching them. Upon closer inspection, that was because she was trying to glue dead flies to her eyelids. That’s just gross.
Getting Ready
There is a reason that shoes were invented. They are meant to protect the soles of your feet from any hazards that might hurt them. For example, when you go running, you don’t want to step on any glass.
This person almost had it right when they put their shoes on in the morning. We say almost because the whole point of shoes is to cover your feet, not be worn up around your ankles. We don’t even know how this happened.
Green Means Go
Getting stuck in traffic can be pretty frustrating, especially if you have a long commute to work. This man thought that he would get some much-needed reading while he waited for the lights at the intersection to change.
The only problem is that reading and driving tend not to go together, especially when there is no traffic. This man should probably have gone home to ‘focus’ on his book, rather than attempting to drive and read at the same time.
Wheelchair Accessible
It is important for almost every building to be wheelchair accessible. Everyone needs to be able to access the rooms or floors that they need to.
This building claimed to be wheelchair accessible, but upon closer inspection, it became apparent that this was not as accessible as the sign would lead everyone to believe. We’re not sure how someone in a wheelchair is supposed to make it up and down these steep steps. There is no ramp in sight!
