Saturday Sugar-Free Treats Recipe

If you need to satisfy your sweet tooth, we have just the recipe for you. Deliciously healthy, full of goodness, and no hidden nasties, you can enjoy these all weekend long without feeling the guilt, or the bloat. They taste even better than a Bounty.

Ingredients:

For the coconut bars
200 g desiccated/shredded coconut (unsweetened)
2 tsp vanilla
4 tsp maple syrup
4 tbsp coconut cream
6 tbsp coconut oil melted

For the sugar free chocolate coating
100 g coconut oil melted
2 tbsp maple syrup
45 g cacao
2 tsp vanilla

Method:

Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.Spoon into a square dish lined with baking parchment/paper.Place in the freezer until firm enough to cut.

Remove from the freezer and cut into bars. Place each one on a baking tray lined with baking parchment/paper. Place back the baking tray with the coconut bars back into the freezer to completely freeze and set.

For the topping:
Place all the ingredients together and mix well. Carefully dip each frozen bar, into the sugar free chocolate coating and place on the lined baking tray. Dip a second time for a thicker coating. Leave to set, and then eat ’til your heart’s content.
