The Jackson Household: Meet Michael Jackson’s Offspring
King of Pop, Michael Jackson, had a glorious career signed by some of the best pop music albums. He became known in every corner of the world and left a significant legacy.
Jackson had three children before his death in 2009, but where are they now and have they followed him into music? With the Jackson name on their backs, Prince, Paris, and Blanket, his three children, surely didn’t have an easy start.
The Marriage Didn’t Last
Michael Jackson was married to Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis Presley’s daughter, for a few years in the 1990s.The reason their marriage didn’t last much was because he wanted to have kids, while Presley didn’t.
Not long after his breakup with Lisa Marie, Jackson met Debbie Rowe. She worked as a dermatology assistant and he met her while attending a doctor’s appointment for his vitiligo. Michael and Debbie got married in 1996 and had two children.
His First Child
Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. was Jackson’s first child from his marriage to Rowe. He was born on February 13th, 1997 in Los Angeles and was named after his father.
By that time his father was already known as the “King of Pop”, that’s why his son got the nickname of “Prince”. Debbie moved in with a friend after Michael Jr. was born. She realized her marriage was out of convenience because Jackson only wanted kids.
The Magic of Neverland
Jackson truly adored his first born, he’d always had a soft spot in his heart for him. Jackson used to dress up Prince in cute little costumes and had him photographed by a professional photographer.
Every detail of his youth had to be recorded. When questioned about his father, Prince frequently mentions their adorable relationship and the magic of the Neverland Ranch. Prince does his hardest to pay tribute to him now that he’s gone.
Divorced Shortly After Paris’s Birth
Rowe and Jackson would have one more child before they split. On April 3rd, 1998, their second son Paris was born, and Jackson felt like a proud papa right away.
She was named after her father and Jackson’s maternal grandma. Her full name is Paris Michael Katherine Jackson. She was returned to the Neverland Ranch, where she had been raised alongside her brother Prince. Rowe and Jackson finally got divorced the next year in 1999.
