DIY Recipe for a Hydrating Watermelon Face Mask

Watermelon is synonymous with the sun-drenched months of summer. The vividly pink fruit is a deliciously hydrating, guilt-free indulgence but what you might not know is that this fruit should be making its way from your mouth to your beauty regime. The citrulline in each juicy bite, improves blood circulation and works as a natural exfoliator. The fruit is also rich in lycopene, a phytonutrient, which is a particularly powerful anti-inflammatory. Instead of opting for a store-bought face mask, whipping up your very own anti-ageing concoction allows you the transparency of knowing exactly what you’re applying to your skin. This three-ingredient homemade face mask also makes use of probiotic-rich yogurt and the wonders of raw, antibacterial honey.
Here is our fabulously simple DIY recipe for a watermelon face mask that will leave you with that enviable dewy summer glow.

Ingredients:
1/4 of a small watermelon
1 teaspoon probiotic unflavored yogurt
1 teaspoon of raw honey
Method:
Mash up the fleshy part of a 1/4 small watermelon in a small bowl. Add the yogurt and honey and mix well. For a smoother application you can use a blender. Apply onto a freshly-washed face and let rest for 15 minutes. Gently wash off and be amazed at the results!
