It’s nearly the weekend. Take some time for you during your break, and give yourself the tender loving care that you need. Here are some top tips to help you feeling your best self.
Don’t Hate, Meditate
Take 5-10 minutes each morning to sit quietly and comfortably, and connect to your breath. You will be amazed at the incredible benefits it can have on your day. It helps you to be in the moment, and to really tune in with what is happening in your body and how you are really feeling. Be aware of your thoughts as you do this. See them passing through your mind, but don’t get caught up on them, just accept that they are there.
If there is something that you have wanted to do, but haven’t found the time, then dedicate a portion of your day to doing this. Whether it be getting your nails done, running a bubble bath, doing the grocery shopping, or treating yourself to some retail therapy. Your needs are important.
Often we are so busy during the week that we don’t have time to make real healthy delicious meals, and pick up convenient food that is quick. Honor your body this weekend, do a healthy food shop and pick a new recipe to make for your friends or loved ones. It can be quite therapeutic, and your body will thank you.
Go For a Walk
Go to the park, and enjoy being in nature. Breathe in fresh air, and get your heart rate pumping. You will feel like a new person. Put on your favorite tunes, or an inspiring podcast, and stroll in your own time, enjoying your own company.
