Behind-the-scenes details about Zack and Tori Roloff’s life

Tori and Zach Roloff were introduced to us on the TLC show Little People, Big World. Zach and his family portray their lives on the show with their dwarfism as the main drawing point for audiences. The lives of the Roloff’s are documented for all of us to see, which includes the good and the bad. Most recently, Zach and Tori welcomed a baby boy in May 2017. It turned out that the little baby boy inherited his father’s condition and was also diagnosed with dwarfism. There are complications to this for the baby and for the couple, as Tori does not have dwarfism, and they share it all on the show. What many people have not seen in a while is what they are up to now, and how the entire Roloff family is doing, especially since they are in the public eye and that could easily go in a direction that they did not plan for it to go. We went into the past and cataloged the family’s struggles and events leading up to today, and what they are up to now.

Just love

Zach and Tori were dating just like any other couple for four years prior to Zach proposing to Tori in 2016. People magazine interviewed the couple and it was then that Tori explained that she was nervous about being on the show but that after being on it realized that she did not need to fret about other people’s thoughts of her.

Zach had said that it was thanks to Tori that he became more social and stepped outside of his comfort zone.

Big news

Good news came often with these two, who announced in 2016 that they were also pregnant with their first child. The initial happiness was sweet and sour as they knew there was a high likelihood that their child would be born with dwarfism. The couple, who had that as a concern, knew from the beginning that if their child was indeed born with dwarfism it would absolutely not matter or change how they feel about their child.

Zach knows what it is like to grow up with dwarfism and would make sure that his child would not feel different.

And baby makes three

Before we all knew it, Zach and Tori welcomed baby Jackson into the world! Much like many new moms, Tori was worried about being a mom for the first time and the responsibility that that meant. However, as soon as she lay her eyes on Jackson she knew she was meant to be a parent.

Not to their surprise, Jackson was indeed diagnosed with dwarfism upon birth. The couple couldn’t care less about the diagnosis and were happy to have a healthy and beautiful baby boy in their arms. Dwarfism is not new to their family, as both Zach’s parents have it.

Dwarfism

Matthew and Amy Roloff, Zach’s parents, both have the condition and the result of which can vary. Zach was diagnosed with dwarfism at birth as well and had to go through several surgeries growing up to correct certain discrepancies, while his dad endured dysplasia when he was growing up that called for a significant amount of medical attention.

Tori and Zach knew that they would have to go through similar happening with Jackson, but they did not care as he was healthy and there with them. Now that we know where they are at now, we want to go back and see how this whole thing happened.

Date

During the early days on the show, the world got to know Tori as the girl who worked on the farm. Audiences wanted the two – Tori and Zach – to get together so badly! Well, the audiences wanted and the audience got what it wished for.

Within a few months on the farm, Zach asked Tori to go out on a date with him and she took him up on his offer. This was the beginning of their beautiful relationship that grew into the love they share today and the family that they have started with one another.

Little People, Big World was such a rating success for TLC that a spinoff was a sure thing to happen. The spinoff was called Little People, Big World: Wedding Farm, and follows the wedding planning journey of Amy and Matthew who dreamt of being wedding planners.

While the spinoff was not a total bomb, it certainly did not do as well as the original show and the network decided to remove it from the small screen after just a single season.

Jacob

With television, stardom can sometimes come with drama. The Roloff’s are no exception to that. Jacob, the Roloff youngest brother did not want to be a part of the show after being on it for a little while.

Jacob had a few choice words as to how he felt about the show and how his family acted while being filmed. He called his other family members “characters” that he felt like he did not connect with anymore.
