These celebrities are known for their anger management issues

It can’t be easy being a celebrity. Granted, they have the fame and fortune that many people aspire to, but that all comes at a cost. You have to deal with your life constantly being on display, meaning you can’t afford to put a foot wrong. Of course, nobody’s perfect, so everyone ends up making a mistake at some point.
When your every action is scrutinized and used as ammo to tear you down, you’ll inevitably start feeling like you’re losing control. As much as people love celebrities, they also seem to enjoy watching them suffer. The second anyone famous appears to be going downhill, the masses get behind them and give them a good push. That eventually leads the celebrity to snap.
From massive arguments to full-blown assault, these people take out their anger in a variety of ways. Some prefer to do it from the safety of their computers and phones, while others get aggressive in person. Whatever they do, it’s rarely pretty, and it’s usually a sign of some deeper underlying issue.

Kanye West

Kanye West is certainly a man who does things his way and no-one else’s. It’s that decision to march to the beat of his own drum that’s kept him a talking point 20 years after getting his start in music.

However, while this has made him a unique talent, it’s also led him to be considered a loose cannon. He’s had various run-ins with the media, with one photographer even demanding the man take anger management classes.

Sean Penn

If anyone’s let the pressures of fame get to them, it seems to be Sean Penn. The man has nothing to be angry about when it comes to his career given he’s spent more than forty years as an acclaimed actor. Unfortunately, while everything might be going great for him at work, that hasn’t stopped him from lashing out offscreen.

He famously abused his first wife (who was none other than Madonna) and has failed to keep his anger in check ever since. Whenever an interview doesn’t go his way, or a paparazzo catches him on a bad day, he doesn’t hold back.

Christian Bale

It’s amazing how one moment can change people’s perceptions of you forever. Unfortunately for actor Christian Bale, that’s exactly what happened for him after an outburst of his was recorded back in 2009. The man was in the middle of filming Terminator Salvation when a member of the crew slipped up big time. Well, at least, their mistake was a big deal in Bale’s eyes.

He proceeded to lash out at the man for five minutes, throwing all sorts of insults and nasty comments his way. Although Bale has frequently apologized for his words, there’s no forgetting that moment of aggression.

Chris Brown

It’s amazing that Chris Brown still has a career after he let his anger get the best of him. It’s hard to forget about that night in 2009 when the rapper took his fists to Rihanna’s face and left her traumatized and hospitalized. This domestic abuse was something people weren’t accustomed to seeing in the celebrity world, but the proof was right there on the singer’s face.

Although it’s been a decade since that infamous incident, there’s no putting the past behind him for Brown. That outburst of aggression will follow him everywhere he goes, no matter what he does.

Britney Spears

The late ‘00s really weren’t a great time for some celebrities. 2007, in particular, was a challenging year for one of the most beloved singers in the pop music scene. It signified the downfall of Britney Spears, a star who was in the midst of a mental breakdown. Along with shaving her head, the singer was photographed lashing out at a paparazzo with an umbrella.

It’s an image that regularly comes to mind when people think of Spears, and it truly shows the woman at her lowest. Of course, years of being hounded by the press will do that to a person.

Sean Connery

Several men have played James Bond over the years, and Sean Connery is someone who can attest to being one of them. However, starring as the world’s greatest spy doesn’t excuse some of the stuff the actor’s done away from the big screen. He’s developed a reputation for being rude with fans, including denying them autographs.

However, his most controversial and aggressive actions have to be when he admitted he had no qualms hitting a woman.

Naomi Campbell

There’s no denying that as models go, Naomi Campbell is one of the fiercest ever to strut her stuff. Unfortunately, while she might be all face on the runway, she’s all mouth off it.

Several of the model’s outbursts have been caught on film over the years, although few have been as bad as one from 2006. Campbell got so angry that she threw her phone at a maid, an action that resulted in an assault charge.

Russell Crowe

It seems that throwing phones is a norm in the celebrity world because Naomi Campbell isn’t the only person to have done it. One year earlier, Russell Crowe did a similar thing when he lashed out at a hotel employee and got landed with two assault charges.

The man was trying to speak to someone in Australia, but there were difficulties connecting the call. Crowe was evidently furious, and the employee bore the brunt of that.

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan is another star whose troubles with anger largely stem from mental health issues. For many years, the actress has struggled with self-control, leading her to lash out at unexpected moments.

It happened several times when she was in a relationship with Samantha Ronson. The two regularly got into heated arguments, with their disputes often turning violent. These aggressive outbursts continued when Lohan went to rehab and apparently got physical with one of the employees.

Michael Lohan

It’s not just Lindsay who has anger management issues – her father does too. Since 1990, the man has had numerous run-ins with the law. He ended up behind bars in 2011 for losing his temper with then-girlfriend Kate Major, leading to domestic abuse allegations.

The man was more than accustomed to being in jail by that point, and it wasn’t the first time it had been anger-related. He also had an attempted assault charge from 2004.

Rosie O’Donnell

Conflicting opinions often lead to disputes, as evidenced by Rosie O’Donnell and Elizabeth Hasselbeck on The View. These two often disagreed with each other on the show, and their outbursts were aired for all to see.

Unfortunately for O’Donnell, these frequent arguments led people to view her as aggressive, something she’s supposedly tried to combat in the years since. However, according to sources on her old talk show, a leopard really can’t change its spots.

Adam Sandler

Known for his comedic roles, it seems that Adam Sandler is hiding (very well) some anger-related issues. In each of his movies, Sandler portrays a nice, simple guy who is funny and someone who is taking adult life, step by step. However, when you look a little deeper into his movies, in which he writes most of the comedic elements, his jokes are often quite angry, whether they are aimed at adults, children, and animals.
Adam Sandler

Insiders working for him have allegedly confessed that Sandler is actually known for acting out when he finds situations annoying. Now that certainly seems as though it stays behind closed doors. So, who is he really?

Jack White

Rockers have a habit of becoming very passionate, particularly when it comes to their performances. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that Jack White has gotten riled up in the past. He’s gotten physical several times, but the one that stands out is his 2003 fight with Jason Stollsteimer.

The two came to blows in a nightclub, with White emerging victorious. Unfortunately, that meant assault charges and anger management classes for the White Stripes rocker.

Courtney Love

Life has been a series of ups and downs for Courtney Love since she lost her husband, former Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. Issues with substance abuse and violence saw the singer experience some of her lowest moments, particularly in 2004.

Love received an assault charge after losing her temper with then-boyfriend Kristin King. The singer apparently attacked the man with a bottle and flashlight, only a few months after she attempted to break into his house.

Joe Francis

Joe Francis isn’t a celebrity that people have ever really considered wholesome. After all, the man shot to fame for creating things like Banned From Television and Girls Gone Wild. However, his image took a turn for the worst when people started accusing him of false imprisonment and assault, among other allegations

His anger, which included lashing out at jurors while he was on trial, resulted in prison time and a court-ordered anger management course.

Kelly Osbourne

The Osbourne family don’t typically hold back when their tempers flare up. Sharon has lashed out numerous times, including throwing water over a fellow judge while on The X Factor UK.

It seems the apple doesn’t fall from the tree, with daughter Kelly also happy to let people have it when she gets angry. However, her aggression usually comes out in her words, like during the expletive rant where she called Christina Aguilera “fat.”

Kid Rock

Another rocker who’s had trouble controlling his temper is Kid Rock. It appears that things got heated while the man was at a strip club in 2005, leading to an altercation with the disc jockey. Kid Rock walked away with a bruised fist and an assault charge that he didn’t bother contesting.

Fast forward to 2007, and it was a case of dėjà vu when the rocker supposedly got violent with Tommy Lee at the MTV VMAs.

Michelle Rodriguez

It seems that starring in the Fast & Furious films makes a lot of sense for Michelle Rodriguez given she’s had so many run-ins with the law. The actress has faced plenty of legal issues over the years, several of which have showcased her problems with anger management.

For instance, she was nearly charged with assault after allegedly punching her roommate in 2002. Two years later, she apparently lashed out at a police officer and told him to shoot her.

Gabriel Aubry

It’s been several years since Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry were a couple, although we’re not sure if the actress has yet recovered from the split. After all, they didn’t part on good terms, even ending up in court as they battled for custody.

Things didn’t exactly swing in her ex’s favor after their nanny revealed the man supposedly pushed her while she was holding their child. That really put his anger issues into perspective.

Mike Tyson

Considering the former boxer is accustomed to using his fists, it’s no surprise that these are the very things which have gotten him in trouble with the law. One of his most notable fights outside of the ring was in 2009 when he apparently had an altercation with a photographer at LA airport.

Both sides placed blame on the other party, but Tyson’s criminal record didn’t exactly work in his favor on this particular occasion.

Shannen Doherty

We have to hope that years of living with regret and facing a heartbreaking cancer battle has helped Shannen Doherty calm down a bit. Back in the day, the actress was known for being reckless and having a temper.

That’s why she was removed from two shows – 90210 and Charmed – when her characters still had plenty of story potential. Given she’s since reunited with several of her former co-stars, we’d say things are better now.

Alec Baldwin

With decades of experience, Alec Baldwin is undoubtedly one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Unfortunately, that simply means that when he slips up, people pay more attention than usual.

Of Baldwin’s various bouts of anger, his most regrettable has to be the time he called his daughter a “thoughtless little pig.” The aggression in his words was shocking, and there was no way for Alec to escape them. After all, he said them in a voicemail!

Emma Roberts

Many people know Emma Roberts for her recurring role in American Horror Story. Unfortunately, some of those viewers aren’t happy to see the actress keep returning to their screens.

That’s because they still can’t get over the domestic violence accusations that were thrown her way in 2013. The police were called to her hotel room after she had a heated argument with then-boyfriend, Evan Peters. Roberts was arrested for the altercation thanks to the evidence on Peters’ face.

Mel Gibson

It’s hard to say what Mel Gibson is best known for these days – his critically acclaimed work, or his anger management issues. The actor and director may have given us incredibly movies like Braveheart and The Passion of the Christ, but he’s also lost his temper on one too many occasions.

The leak of his voicemails in 2010 certainly didn’t help his case after they featured the man letting off steam in an aggressive, racist rant.
