Cartoons are often portrayed as fictionalized and not real. We knew this until Hidreley, a Brazilian artist, decided to make a change.
He uses a combination of photos and special software to create a virtual representation of our favorite cartoon characters in real life. These 45 images show cartoon characters as humans, from Disney to the Simpsons and others. These stunning images will make you excited.
Princess Jasmine
Jasmine doesn’t need an introduction. We all know how Aladdin played out. To win Princess Jasmine’s affection, a homeless man pretends to be a prince and convinces her to marry him. Jasmine knew she wasn’t a prize to win and could tell the difference.
What artificial intelligence did: brought the difficult and mysterious Princess to life without any magic lamps or genie’s magic. We now understand why Aladdin went to such lengths to make her his bride. Those eyes!
Eric
Eric in The Little Mermaid remains undoubtedly one of the most popular Disney characters. Many people fell in love with him after watching the story. Do you remember how he stole Ariel’s heart with his charming smile and his courageous feats?
Here’s what AI did: Real life Eric has the same piercing blue eyes and dark hair that we fell in love with in the cartoon. Prince Eric was as handsome as the cartoon depicted. Perhaps even more so.
Pocahontas
Pocahontas was an intelligent, free-spirited, and noble woman. She was a model of wisdom and kindness. She was drawn in a beautiful and wild way in the cartoon. We can now see what the famous cartoon would look if it were real by using AI.
What AI did: we can see the strength in the real life Pocahontas’s eyes and can full understand how she had the courage to stand up to the Englishmen. Although the Disney story does really follow what happened in real life we can’t help but enjoy watching it.
Ariel
What do you think about redheads, and what did they say? Redheads are incredibly passionate and confident. They are also very rare. All of that is true. Ariel, the Princess at sea, is an example of the confidence these redheads possess.
Ariel had a boring life on the seafloor, but Ursula freed her and gave her a magical spell that allowed her to live the life she wanted. This image explains why Eric refused to let Ariel go: she is captivating with her siren eyes and fiery hair. She is the perfect picture of alluring innocence.
Julieta Madrigal
Julieta Madrigal is the name of the actress in Encanto. In Encanto, she was the matriarch. She was also Luisa, Isabella, and Mirabel’s mother. She is a Colombian woman in her 50s with beautiful brown skin and curly gray hair.
She has a magical ability to heal people by cooking healing food. In the movie, she heals people by cooking them a meal. The resemblance is amazing! What makes her so similar: She has the same kind eyes that immediately put you at ease. This artist clearly knows how to use the online tool to his advantage.
Joe Gardner
Joe Gardner, a high school teacher who played the piano player and enjoyed jazz music, is featured in the Soul movie. He was only in his 40s, but he had always dreamed about performing jazz music. The movie follows him on his journey.
He was able to realize his dream after many trials and tribulations. His 3D character looks very real. What AI did: he’s far more attractive in this 3D version than he is in the movie, to be honest. What do you think?
Pepa Madrigal
Pepa Madrigal, who played in Encanto, is also a must-mention character. We strongly recommend that you see the movie if you haven’t. Pepa Madrigal, the emotional one in their family, had the ability to change the weather according to her mood.
She would smile and be happy – it’s a sunny day. If she was sad – it was a rainy day. AI has brought: intensity to life, making her a real person. Her expression and look are reminiscent of someone with such power.
Annabelle
Annabelle is a prequel to the horror movie The Conjuring. It tells the story of a doll who has been possessed and the bodies that she has buried. Even though she a doll, it is not recommended for children.
It’s a shame if you haven’t seen the movie. What AI did: it captured her seemingly sweet appearance while giving the feeling that something isn’t quite right. I wouldn’t want to meet this real life version of Annabelle but for whatever reason the doll is infinitely scarier.
Moe Szyslak
All of us remember Moe Szyslak, The Simpsons, the miserable and grumpy bartender who was also the proprietor of Moe’s tavern. He was known for his violent outbursts and often got into trouble. We still love the bartender, who made us laugh quite often.
You don’t need to imagine the possibility of meeting the character in person. How he’s similar: AI somehow managed to capture his mouth perfectly. We owe this Artificial Intelligence artist a huge thank you for making that possibility a reality.
Carl Fredricksen
Up was a touching animated movie from 2009 that inspired everyone. The story was about how easy it is to lose sight and forget the people and things that matter to you until they are gone. Five Oscar nominations were received for the movie, and two of them won.
Carl Fredricksen was the story’s central character. He is a grumbly old man who loves his balloons. This cartoon character was a favorite, but it is worth the effort to create a 3D human model. What’s missing: The nose, hair, glasses, and glasses are all perfect but somehow he doesn’t manage to capture Carl’s grumpiness or the element that makes you want to sympathize with him.
Tinkerbell
Tinkerbell was a fairy who appeared in many Peter Pan movies. We loved Tinkerbell, even though she was a tiny fairy. She was a feisty, kind, and spirited little girl who ran around in her green dress with matching shoes.
This is Tinkerbell as it would look in the real world. We are genuinely impressed. What’s weird: the human bears a slight resemblance to Taylor Swift, she still reminds us a lot of Tinkerbell.
Li Shang
We always loved to see Li Shang in the movie Mulan. Captain Li Shang loved getting to work, defeating Hans, and transporting the three princesses back to Qui Gong.
Li Shang is the movie was pretty good looking. A suitable first crush for sure. What AI made: the real life version is an acceptable version of our beloved Captain, he looks like a model. Even so we think we’ll stick with the cartoon.
Rapunzel
Rapunzel, one of the Disney princesses, lived a lonely and challenging life. Because of her rare gift of magic and long, glowing hair, she was kept in a castle far from the rest of the world.
It was lonely with her wicked captor, who made her feel bad and used her for her own gain. What we see: even more of her beauty in her human form, so it’s not surprising that she got a fairytale ending with Prince Charming.
Aladdin
We already talked about Jasmine from Aladdin, but this list would not be complete without her husband. Aladdin was a street urchin without any money or noble blood, but he managed to seduce the Princess of Agrabah. Now we know why.
He is a charmer with all the right looks and words to make any woman fall in love with him. You wouldn’t mind falling in love with his AI, even if you didn’t care about his character. What AI managed: This guy is a total savior.
Camilo Madrigal
Another Encanto character is Camilo Madrigal. He was the true entertainer in the animated film. He could transform into any character he desired and had the ability to shape-shift. He is a fan favorite because of his positive outlook on life.
Camilo Madrigal was 15 years old when the film was made. What AI did: this life-like portrayal of him captures his youthful enthusiasm. He’s a fun, playful teenager who has the time of his life with a big smile and curly hair.
Lisa Simpson
Lisa Simpson is a favorite on The Simpsons sitcom. Although she’s only eight years of age, her intelligence is far greater than her peers. She is a loner because of this. She was even shown in one episode as a future president.
She is a young vegetarian and often wonders about the chaos in her home. How AI has transformed her: her basic features are captured into a human beings with big eyes and a friendly smile. Her looks are very intelligent. Well done, Hidreley!
Merida
We took so many lessons from Merida, the Scottish Princess who was both intelligent and independent in Brave. Her favorite line is, “You can control your destiny. It doesn’t take magic or shortcuts to solve your problems.”
We all love the Disney princess. Here’s what she might have looked like in real life. The similarities: her fiery red hair and blue eyes are standouts in the show and in this real life version. Still, she lacks the same intensity and toughness as the cartoon character, we don’t think this AI version could win her own hand in marriage like the cartoon Merida.
Flynn Rider
Flynn Rider was the stereotypical bad boy from Tangled. He was a con artist, thief, and player. When he met Rapunzel with her long, golden hair, he had a moment of clarity. Flynn looked very handsome in the movie.
We can see in this AI that he is precisely what we expect: He is charming, funny, witty, and has a wicked smirk. He is the bad boy, and his good looks will tremble any straight girl’s heart.
Mulan
Mulan, worried about her father, disguised herself as an infant to join the China war. She is well-known for her courage and confidence, and she won the battle.
We are curious how she managed to fool everyone into believing she was a boy. In the AI version: we can see that she has soft lines and feminine features. We don’t know that real life Mulan could have fooled the Chinese army.
Chucky
Even if horror movies are not your thing, you have probably heard of Chucky, the possessed doll who murders his victims with a sharp blade. This AI doll is regarded as the most terrifying. Still, we cannot resist it.
What makes him so creepy: It could be his eyes or maybe that creepy smile. But one thing is certain: His appearance makes our hairs stand up! Remember to always look over your shoulder. The doll may strike at any moment.
John Smith
This is the man we have been waiting for. He was charming and funny and played zero games. John Smith met Pocahontas when he declared his intentions from the beginning: “I’d rather die tomorrow than live without knowing you.”
For those who love the bad guys, this might sound a bit cheesy. But who doesn’t want to be surrounded by a loving and genuine man? What AI got right: his dazzling eyes and flowing blond locks. His AI human representation is just a perfect example of this, and we cannot help but swoon over it.
Ned Flanders
Ned Flanders was an evangelical and faithful Christian throughout The Simpsons series. He loved the gospel and stayed away from temptation. Even though the Simpson family ridiculed him, he is still considered the pillar of Springfield.
The Artificial Intelligence Ned is not as precise as we imagined. What is wrong: while the mustache is perfect its something about the eyes that doesn’t sit right. Still he looks great in his suit and mustache, which is a sign that he enjoys the Lord’s work.
Lady Tremaine
Lady Tremaine, Cinderella’s stepmother, is one of the most hated in Disney. Although Lady Tremaine was a cruel stepmother who abused Cinderella for many years, she loved her children so much that they were spoiled to death.
Amazing how the software could bring out her worst features and make her feel like a person. What AI did right: her squinting eyes and wrinkled eyebrows, she looks like a witch. We don’t like you, Lady Tremaine.
Milhouse Van Houten
Milhouse is Bart’s best friend. Milhouse is an insecure, gullible, and less popular student at school. He was a fourth grader when we all watched him for over 30 years. We don’t know how this works, but he never seems to graduate.
Bart, his friend, was often the reason he found himself in trouble. Thanks to Artificial Intelligence technology: we can see him with his glasses and extremely rough eyebrows. It’s quite impressive! This one is amazing!
Anna
You must be a Frozen fan like us right now. Anna, Elsa’s little sister, was loved by everyone. We could all relate to her relationships with other characters because she had the ability to control and create ice.
This software has brought our favorite Disney character to life. We are thrilled with the results. We are still stunned that Hans would betray this beautiful cutie to take the throne with her angelic smile, freckles, and gorgeous eyes.
Olive Oyl
It’s now time to introduce a character from the distant past. Olive Oyl is a temperamental and feisty young woman. Popeye, the sailor, has been a fan of this young woman for over 100 years.
It is pretty amazing AI work, and we have to give credit to the digital artist who brought her character to life. What AI did right: her eyebrows and smile is what brings this real life adaptation to life.
Snow White
Snow White was born into a difficult life. We felt sorry for her. All of her problems are to be attributed to the evil queen. Snow White was driven into the forest by her first attempt at taking her life.
But the queen didn’t give in and tried to kill Snow White again with a poisoned Apple. The software revealed the reason the evil queen was jealous of Snow White. She is beyond beautiful. What AI managed: to showcase her ruby lips and dark features to bring out her snow white skin.
Hans
Hans is a handsome, calm, charismatic, and outwardly charming guy. But he’s actually false-hearted and greedy. He managed to fool Anna and us all with his pretense and good looks.
He was driven by power and wanted the throne for his own use. To do so, he would even beg Anna. We love Disney, but evil never triumphs. His plans eventually failed. The rumors are true, and bad guys always look great!
Peter Pan
Peter Pan is a famous boy who seems never to grow up. Peter Pan was a very confident, proud, and fearless boy. He grew up in Neverland and loved fighting pirates. Have you ever wondered what his face would look like as a troubled teenager?
Here it is. This Artificial Intelligence-generated image would show him exactly as he is. What AI captured: the eyebrows are beyond perfect, they perfectly capture his charming personality while broadcasting that he is, funny, and daring. All of these traits are mixed with a little mischief and pranks that he loves to pull off at any given moment.
Princess Tiana
Although the story of the Princess and the Frog was unusual, we enjoyed it. Tiana was a great cook in New Orleans and hoped to open her own restaurant one day. He became a handsome prince after she kissed him.
They tied the knot and lived happily ever after, just as you had predicted. This digital artist claims that Princess Tiana would look exactly like this if she were a human. We couldn’t agree more. It is amazing to see the brilliance and creativity of technology.
Inga
Imagine the charm of Sweden crystallized into a single, irresistible character—now you’re picturing Inga, the sensual bikini-clad beauty from The Simpsons. This is a classic character from The Simpsons. This 3D photo of him is a great gift. We can only imagine the man smiling in his mart, thanking us for coming, and hoping to see him again.
Lilo Pelekai
Do you remember Lilo and Stitch? It’s the animated film that brought us so much emotion, and we can’t remember how many times it was rewatched. Here’s Lilo from Hawaii, an orphan who lived with her older sibling and many aliens.
Artificial Intelligence can generate many faces. But this one stood out as our favorite. Why it receives praise: Lilo’s sweet face is perfectly captured, we can even imagine this live version being cheeky and fun just like her cartoon version. We have to give credit to both the software and digital artist for creating such a beautiful and precise face. Aloha, Lilo.
Bruno Madrigal
Encanto was full of people with supernatural powers, particularly the Madrigal clan. Every family has a strange member, and this is Bruno. He can see the future.
Bruno was often portrayed as a sadistic, monstrous man. But he is actually a shy man with anxiety. Let’s not be so harsh on Bruno, and let us all appreciate his human face with the nose and eyes, and hair. It’s all perfect.
Tintin
Tintin’s Adventures began as a French comic book before being made into an animated film. The book has been translated into more than 70 languages since its original publication in 1907.
This book’s popularity is due to the morals it teaches. Tintin would not have made this post complete without him. His AI version: very similar to the original, with his upturned bangs. Spectacular.
Sailor Moon
It is common knowledge that anime originated in Japan, and Sailor Moon was the most loved one of the 90s. The story centers on a teenage girl who becomes a strong heroine and fights evil forces tirelessly. It was a huge hit.
We have never been able to imagine Sailor Moon as a person. Technology has made it possible to imagine the impossible feat. It’s incredible how realistic she looks: right down to her head shapes and blue eyes. We are stunned!
Kim Possible
Who could forget the iconic, red-headed crimefighter Kim Possible? She was the high school cheerleader by day and a secret agent by night, fearlessly battling villains to save the world with her best friend and sidekick, Ron Stoppable. Their teamwork and the help of tech genius Wade made them an unstoppable trio.
Through the power of artificial intelligence, Kim Possible has been brought to life as a real person, and she looks just as badass as you’d expect. What AI did: her fierce green eyes, determined expression, and signature cargo pants testify to her adventurous spirit. Watching the real-life Kim Possible in action only makes us admire her more – no wonder she inspired so many young people to believe anything is truly possible.
Dash Parr
Dash Parr was a key character in The Incredibles’ 2003 animated film. Dash was not a super-fast runner, but he was just a normal teenager with a lot of pranks and an ego.
Although the movie was 3D, it wasn’t quite realistic enough. This AI has broken the bridge, and we can now see how Dash would appear if he was a human. He does indeed look like a troublemaker at a young age, we admit.
Belle
The movie Beauty and the Beast was a huge success and was loved by everyone. Belle was loved not only for her beauty but also for her intellect. She loved to read and fantasized about adventures.
Big Gaston is a shrewd and assertive man who wants Belle to marry him. He would go to great lengths to get her. This is the woman he fell for. What AI managed: her alluring good looks were captured and it still looks like she has a kind heart. Belle, just like her name, is beautiful and intelligent.
Princess Moana
Disney’s Moana was released in 2016 and tells the story of an adventurous teenager who sets out on a challenging mission to save her family. Moana is able to meet Maui along the way and fulfills the ancient desire of her ancestors.
We were captivated by her amazing voice and personality. This is her character, brought to life by an artist who used AI. We bet she looks real. Well, it’s technology.
Kristoff
Even from this Artificial intelligence image, we can see that Kristoff was not the hot Disney male lead in Frozen. He had many good qualities that went along with his good looks, unlike the other male love interest in the movie.
Although he wasn’t the man Anna initially wanted, he seems like the perfect guy for her. They were even engaged. What’s wrong: AI didn’t manage to capture his rough good looks that was the cherry on top of his personality. This guy doesn’t look like a reindeer is his best friend.
Prince Naveen
Prince Naveen did not have it easy; He had a hard life. Because of his selfishness and laziness, his parents disowned him and deprived him of all his royal privileges. As if that weren’t enough, he was turned into a frog by an evil sorcerer.
We still feel sorry for him, even though he may have earned it. Let’s take a look at how this Prince looks using AI software. He looks very nice. Maybe it’s because of all the years of eating insects.
Elsa
Elsa looks elegant and poised from the outside with her platinum-blonde hair and pale skin. Elsa struggled for years to accept herself. We watched as she hid in fear that people would discover her fantastic gift, the ability to make ice.
We’re glad the Disney heroine was able to control her powers by the end. If we met her AI in real life, would it be possible to tell if she is hiding such powers? We’ll never know.
Bart Simpson
We can easily see the similarities between this cartoon and the real-life reimagining without even trying to. What’s right: it exudes his mischievousness and rebellion, as well as disrespect for authority. This boy is known for his irreverent behavior, from his prank calls to his disobedience at school and even his mischievousness.
The humanized Bart Simpson is here. This is a great “live-action” version of The Simpson’s character. His hair, chin, and face are full of mischief. We can see that he is plotting something by his appearance.
Isabela Madrigal
Isabela Madrigal is the perfect character in Encanto. She need not do much to charm us with her personality and ability to grow and make flowers.
Although we thought Isabela was content being perfect, she eventually got tired of the perfection and expectations. We can’t blame Isabela. It must have been exhausting to live up to her expectations. Perfect.
Cinderella
Cinderella is the most beloved Disney princess. We all love the story of Cinderella’s journey from rags to riches. Her stepmother and stepsisters were cruel to her, and she cleaned up after them. She had the last laugh, and she married the Prince.
All of this was possible after she lost her glass slipper. Many girls tried to make the slipper fit, but it didn’t. This is the real-life beauty that they tried to match. She is very recognizable: her hair style and earrings fit the cartoon perfectly. We can see that they didn’t stand a chance.
Wilma Flintstone
Wilma’s red hair is styled in an updo with large bangs and a bun. She wears a dress in white with one shoulder strap. She wears a chunky, white necklace that looks like it’s made of large stones. She is drawn simplistically with two black dots as eyes, a small nose, and generic lips.
This AI image has a different outfit: a blue shirt and striped colors. Her necklace has disappeared, but her chest and neck appear to have been transformed into chunky stones! She is also wearing earrings and glasses, which are a pleasant surprise.
Betty Rubble
Betty Rubble is Wilma’s bestie. She has an entirely different appearance. She has jet-black hair and a short, choppy haircut. Her eyes are drawn in white. She is wearing a dress in light blue with a stone connecting the straps and the top. She completes her look by adding a light-blue bow to her hair, which complements her dress.
AI gives us a glimpse of Betty Rubble’s real-life appearance: She still has short black hair, which is a little lopsided but goes with her “choppy look.” She has two bows, one on each side of the head. Instead of a blue top, her outfit is most distinctive.
Fred Flintstone
He has black hair and a large round nose. His face is stubbled. He wears an orange and black spotted loincloth without sleeves with a necktie in blue. He always wears bare feet. This AI image is full of exciting things to say! To begin with, there are so many similarities. With the same hair, eyebrows, and nose, he looks just like Fred.
What makes him similar: He’s even wearing orange. He looks mean, but he doesn’t smile. The only thing missing is the blue necktie and black spots. Can we really call him Fred without that?
Peter Griffin
The dad that we all love is Peter Griffin from Family Guy. He is a bumbling fool with short brown hair, a large cleft on his chin, a large round nose, and a round face. He wears sunglasses, a white shirt with rolled sleeves, and green pants. A black belt with a bright yellow buckle secures his outfit. He wears plain brown shoes.
What’s weird: AI has given Peter an unusual widow’s peak. This is a different expression than what you see in the animated version of Peter. A smile or neutral face would be more accurate. It was challenging to make the chin look real. This jawline is the most important thing to take away. This is definitely too square. Cartoon Peter Griffin is missing a jawline!
Lois Griffin
Lois Griffin, the wife of Peter Griffin from Family Guy. She has red, short hair, a triangular, large nose, and small red lips. She is of average height and wears a green shirt with a maroon slide. Her earrings are small and round, matching her shirt. Her eyes are round, with small eyelashes and pupils. Lois Griffin IRL looks very similar!
In the animated version: her hair is parted down the middle, whereas it’s a bit of a side part here. In the cartoon, she had no eyebrows. We’re happy that she has gained them in real life. Her lips are straight from the show, and her cheekbones and nose are accurate. Lois is definitely a big influence!
Lisa Simpson
Lisa Simpson, the oldest of The Simpsons’ daughters, was born in 1989. She has yellow hair that blends into her skin. Two tiny black dots are her pupils, and four eyelashes cover each bulging eye. She is wearing a strapless red dress, matching red shoes, and a white pearl pendant. She looks like a yellow triceratops.
Lisa’s hair is the same yellow and spikey in real life. The rest of Lisa’s characteristics are not recognizable. Turning a yellow, simply-drawn character into a human being is difficult. She wears glasses and a top in a similar shade of blue-green, with a matching necklace. This second version of Lisa: we are provided with a different point of view on what she would look like.
Homer Simpson
Homer is one of the worst fathers in TV history. He is lazy, clumsy, and selfish. On top of that, he’s also an alcoholic. His emotional intelligence is atrocious. All of his flaws make him so appealing. Homer Simpson, created in the late 1980s, is an icon of television. His appearance is not remarkable except for his yellow skin.
He is a typical father with a five-o’clock shadow, is overweight, balding, and wears a Polo tee shirt. Homer Simpson seems to have embraced his bland appearance. This is how he’d look in real life. It’s just like anyone else – except with yellow skin, and a large nose.
Mr. Burns
Montgomery Burns, the callous and tightfisted owner of Springfield’s Nuclear Power Plant in The Simpsons, comes to life in this AI-generated image. What’s the same: with his distinctively elongated face, receding hairline, and signature pointed nose, the real-life Mr. Burns maintains the essence of his cartoon counterpart.
His exaggeratedly thin appearance, sinister smirk, and prominent liver spots are also carried over, giving the character an air of conniving mischief that fans will undoubtedly recognize. The AI-rendered version retains the villainous vibe, complete with a stern expression and a suit that highlights his position of authority. Overall, the real-life Mr. Burns captures the character’s unique charm while embracing the complexities of his personality.
Stewie Griffin
The AI-generated image of Stewie Griffin from Family Guy maintains the animated character’s charm, intelligence, and mischief.
