Waterpark

During the rise of Celine Dion, she had met her husband, Rene Angelil, and together they bought a spot on Jupiter Island for $7 million. It was here that they decided to build their dream vacation home and two years, they built a waterpark. And one of the best things about it is, they built in more for their friends and family, rather than for themselves. But they certainly enjoyed everything else it offered.

Celine had a wonderful relationship with her husband, and they welcomed three children, Rene-Charles Angelil, who was their first born and nine years later, they had twin brothers, Eddy and Nelson. Sadly, in 2016, Dion lost her husband to cancer and the world sent their condolences to her and their children following the sad news.

Original Selling Price

When the couple initially decided to sell their Jupiter Island home, it was back in 2013 and they listed it for a whopping $72.5 million! Now, we’re not sure how much these lavish celeb homes cost, but that seems pretty excessive – if we do say so ourselves. At that price, the property had still not been sold three years later. What would they do?

Lowering The Price

The mega-mansion was then lowered to a sale price of $44.5 million, and believe it or not, at this price, it still wouldn’t sell. But it was after the death of her husband that Dion just wanted to say goodbye to the property and in 2017, the price dropped significantly once again and this time, someone had their eye on it.

Jupiter Island

Can you remember the song about Jupiter Island? “Come on let’s fly to Jupiter Island – Jupiter Island is full of pleasure”, and it was then this year that somebody wanted this glamorous island spot to call their own. After some haggling, the new owner landed the property for a more generous $28 million. But who bought the mansion?

New Owner

As much as the press tried, the realty company wouldn’t release the details about the new owners of the luxurious palace. Either way, we bet they were ecstatic at finally selling the place after it had been on the market for several years. The mansion screams wealth and we are dreaming about laying by the side of that pool!

Hotspot

Either way, the new owner will be surrounded by celebrities, and perhaps they may even be one themselves. Jupiter Island is a hot spot and people like the former president George H.W. Bush and the godfather of the acting world, Burt Reynolds both live there. Other famous names include Gary Player, Tiger Woods and Greg Norman.

Population

One of the best things about Jupiter Island is the population, the island is quiet and limited with only 850 people living there, with the majority of these being extremely wealthy. And it wasn’t just Dion’s house that was excessively priced, there are plenty of them with a similar price tag.

Other Property

It seems as though all Dion’s home are in the higher price range. When she came to selling her Parisian home of Villa Montmorency, it was advertised at a price of $9.3 million. Even though the price is very high, it is nothing compared to $72 million nor $28 million – but then again, the other property is not on the sought-after Jupiter Island after all.

Parisian Home

Her Parisian home is also said to be nothing but idyllic, and we can tell you exactly why it is so beautiful. None the less, regardless of the surroundings and the interior of the home, Celine Dion lived there and that in itself has got to be rather exciting. Let’s find out more about this home.

Charming Home

The home is nestled in the charming 16th district of Paris, France and dates back to the 1990s. The property sits back behind a gated community and it was around the same time they invested in their Jupiter Island land, that they purchased this property. At least Dion knew where to spend her money.

Quebec Home

More recently, it looks as though Celine Dion has gone on a bit of a clean-up of all her properties and she also put her Quebec home on the market. The chateau-style mansion had another sky-high sale price of $22.5 million and it truly is delightful. It is an amazing 24,000-sq foot with 20 acres of land and more.

Nine Bathrooms

The property sits on a private island beside the Montreal River and comes with six bedrooms, a wine cellar, library, and nine bathrooms. But compared to her waterpark mansion, all of that doesn’t sound very much at all – but of course, we wouldn’t say no!

Back To Business

Celine Dion has more recently been concentrating on her career after a much-needed break and is the voice behind the Deadpool 2 theme tune, and we’re sure it is going to be another smash. Additionally, she jumps back into a tour truck where she will travel across the Asian-Pacific, plus releasing a new album. Either way, it looks as though she is back, and we can’t wait to see more of her.
