In a riveting twist of events, Spotify magnate and renowned podcaster Bill Simmons passionately lashed out at the royal duo, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. Simmons went so far as to call them “grifters” following the abrupt termination of their multi-year alliance with Spotify this month.
In an expression of unfiltered disdain, he continued, “The perfect title for their podcast should have been ‘The Grifters’. I should really uncork a bottle one of these nights and spill the beans about the Zoom call I had with Harry to brainstorm podcast ideas. It’s one of my most memorable tales … Screw them. The grifters.” The joint venture between Archewell Audio, the royal pair’s production house, and Spotify was initially projected to roll out many programs. However, the venture ended prematurely with the production of only one series and a holiday special.
June 2023 – Meghan Markle is Accused of Faking Interviews for Her Podcast
After it was decided to cancel the podcast of the Dukes of Sussex – the dirty laundry is starting to come out. Industry sources claim that Megan’s voice was edited out and that she did not actually conduct the interviews. And there is more, an industry executive is fed up with Prince Harry: “He just whines about nonsense and continues to give interviews. Who cares about your life, you weren’t even the favorite son.”
Industry sources claim that it was Markle’s staff who actually interviewed the guests and then, in editing, put on the duchess’s voice. “Several of the interviews were done by other employees, and Megan’s voice was recorded afterward.” The Dukes of Sussex signed a deal worth 20 million dollars with Spotify at the end of 2020, but people close to the audio giant claim that “the two did not meet the required productivity index in order to receive the full payment”
